In an article titled "Surveillance of the acquired immune deficiency syndrome in the United Kingdom. January 1982 - 1983" published by the British Medical Journal it was stated that the CDSC had requested information on opportunistic infections and cases of Kaposi's sarcoma based on on laboratory report forms and information from venereologists and dermatologists.
