A formal agreement between the DHSS and the Scottish Home and Health Department was reached that the Protein Fractionation Centre would fractionate plasma from Newcastle, Leeds, Manchester and Liverpool regions, to the extent of 30,000 bottles of plasma protein fraction, plus antihaemophilic globulin produced from 10,000 bottles of blood.
