Lord Glenarthur wrote a letter to Jerry Wiggin MP in response to a letter from a constituent whose 14 year old son had haemophilia. He stated that he appreciated the anxiety amongst those with haemophilia and their families which recent press reports on AIDS may have caused, and then stated "the cause of AIDS is as yet unknown and there is no conclusive proof that the disease has been transmitted by American blood products".
