These questions were on themes of; Blood Contamination, Haemophilia, Blood Transfusions, NHS Blood Products, Contaminated Blood Products, Imported Blood Products, Hepatitis C, (Womens) Bleeding Disorders, The Skipton Fund, Free Prescriptions, Haemophilia Drugs, (Recombinant) Factor 8, The MacFarlane Trust, The Haemophilia Society, HIV/AIDS, and Blood Donors. Discussion included; BPLs efficiency regarding heat treatment on Factor 8 and the Department of Healths (DOH) risk assessments in relation to informing haemophiliacs of their at-risk status; The DOH reaffirming that it did not admit liability in relation to infecting haemophilia patients and stated a public inquiry was not justified; Questions involving the tables of data collected on the patients, effects of the disease or payments from associated trusts; The report Self Sufficiency in Blood Products in England and Wales published by DOH; That safety is prioritised with reassurances that recombinant products would be in use from 01 April 2005; That plasma from UK donors is not used in fractionated blood products; That there is no evidence that CJD is transmitted via blood or blood products; The difference in compensation between haemophiliac HIV sufferers and Hepatitis C; Doctors guidance on consent for treatment with blood products; The withholding of court documents due to public interest immunity.
