Second draft of Report of the Working Group on Trends in the Demand for Blood Products. Aim is to consider likely trends over the next five to ten years, taking into account the practicalities of supply. Broad aim of the Health Depts is to achieve NHS self-sufficiency in therapeutic blood products and discontinue present practice of using commercial manufacturers to supplement the service.
