Letter from David Owen to Andrew Bennett regarding plans for National Health Service production of of Factor VIII, anti-haemophiliac globulin (AHG) concentrate; production dependent on two factors - the first being the ability of the 14 Regional Transfusion Centres collecting sufficient plasma from blood donations, and the capacity of the Central Laboratories in Elstree and Oxford to manufacture AHG concentrates from the plasma sent to the centres.
