Minutes of meeting of the National Support Services Committee on the 12 06 2008. Matters arising include discussion of various papers. In relation to the paper entitled Equalisation of Payments to Infected Female Beneficiaries of the MFT it was resolved that this should be referred to the Board of Trustees with a recommendation that a submission be made to he Department of Health to provide additional funding to cover the payments. Policy issues include issues for primary beneficiaries who receive incapacity benefit. The issue regarding respite and convalescence was also discussed and that this would be decided objectively on a case by case basis. Widows property survey and a beneficiary attending a clinical trial had also been discussed. Applications for financial assistance discussed
