Letter from HH Gunson National Director National Blood Transfusion Service to RTDs England and Wales regarding Financial Support for AntiHCV Testing At the last meeting of the DoH Advisory Committee on the Virological Safety of Blood the matter of financing antiHCV testing was raised Comment was made that some RHAs had not provided any financial support to carry out the routine screening of blood for antiHCV subsequent confirmatory testing and counselling of donors when required Gunson asked the recipients to advise whether they did receive financial support for the introduction of the test and whether they considered that financial support covered all the costs involved
