Visit to Edinburgh and Southeast Scotland BTS 10-11 March 1982 and 10-12 May 1982 by D. R. S. Warburton and D. Haythornthwaite. Contains an inspection report on staffing centrifuging storage blood processing cryoprecipitate donor grouping hepatitis and plasmapheresis. Concludes that existing facilities rank among the worst seen anywhere Inspection dates 10-11 March 1982 and 10-12 May 1982. Assessments were carried out on the three facilities used for by the BTS the comprehensiveness of the donor questionnaire storage facilities blood and blood processing etc. Conclusions this is an interim report and further inspections will be needed. Existing facilities are quite inadequate and there remains a great deal of detail which was not explored due to lack of time.
