The Chair of the Inquiry, Sir Brian Langstaff, has written to the Minister of the Cabinet Office and formally closed the Inquiry.
In the letter Sir Brian notes the Government’s statement that “The Inquiry’s closure does not mean our work is over, and the Government remains committed to engaging with the community and acting on the Inquiry’s findings.”
There is an annex to the letter, in which Sir Brian reflects on public inquiries, drawing on the experience of the Infected Blood Inquiry.
