Reference Centre Directors met 13 May 1983 and agreed upon recommendations for Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome AIDS in haemophilia. Considered one possible case of AIDS within haemophilia community. Also discussed risk of transmitting hepatitis by means of large pool concentrates treating children and mildly affected patients or patients unexposed to imported concentrates to NHS concentrates trials of hepatitis reduced concentrates in mild haemophiliacs.
