Minutes of the twelfth meeting of the AIDS group of Haemophilia Centre Directors held at St Thomas Hospital. Discussed heterosexual transmission of HIV, and that out of 171 partners tested, 5 were HIV positive. Dr Craske gave a progress report on his projects which included data received from 30 centres reporting a total of 27 new AIDS cases, of which 21 died; and the family/social contacts study, of which a report would be circulated. Dr Delamore and Dr Forbes has both received notification that one of their patients were suing for compensation for contracting AIDS. Finally Dr Mortimer requested serum samples form multi-transfused patients to assist with a new investigation he was doing into new human viruses.
