The House of Commons voted in support of an amendment to the Victims and Prisoners Bill which would require the government to establish a body to administer a compensation scheme. A new clause 42 was also put forward, to establish a deadline of 25 sitting days from the publication of the final report for an oral statement to be made to the House.
