Richard Gooding

Haematology consultant

Dr Gooding is a consultant haematologist with a specialist interest in haemostasis and thrombosis. Having started work as a consultant haematologist in 2012 he moved to the sub-specialty of haemostasis/thrombosis and in 2018 became the Leicester Haemophilia Centre Director. In this role, I work with other members of the UK Haemophilia Centre Doctors organisation to promote and provide high quality haemophilia care, and I am part of the UKHCDO prophylaxis working party. He is co-chair of the UHL anticoagulation committee, and has an interest in various aspects of complex (venous) thrombosis, including cancer related VTE and antiphospholipid syndrome.
